Spokane River Rafting
Bowl and Pitcher in Riverside State Park, Spokane, WA
The Spokane River is a great option for a day trip with the Lower stretch starting less than a mile from downtown winding down through Riverside State Park, with an optional lunch at the end. The Upper stretch begins out just east of the Spokane Valley and ends at Plantes Ferry Park. Both stretches offer something different. The Lower Spokane is full of wildlife and even offers some good class III rapids with plenty of class II’s to keep it exciting as well. The Upper section is set down in the trees protecting us from the excitement above and is a friendly section with several class II rapids and lots of time to enjoy the scenery as well as the family and friends we are floating with.
